3739018 - Employee's timezone in SF (in UDF file) shows as UTC - Onboarding

UDF file shows time zone of the employee as UTC

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Initiate Onboarding
2. Keep the time zone field blank throughout the onboarding process
3. Once the candidate becomes active
4. The UDF file shows the time zone field as UTC

This is a system designed expected behavior, if the time zone is not maintained manually or have not pre-populated via business rule, basically if the field is kept blank throughout the onboarding process, once the candidate becomes an active employee, the time zone in the UDF file defaults the field to UTC as a standard time zone.

If it's needed to sync correct timezone for Onboarding candidates, please maintain the Hris Sync mapping and create a onChange business rule to set the timezone based on the location field.
