3739084 - Unable to Identify Scope Items Activated and Saved within SAP Central Business Configuration Type Transport Requests

Symptom

  • Central Business Configuration (CBC) type transport requests (BC Scope Extension) are created automatically during the deployment of a workspace from Central Business Configuration. However, it is not possible to directly identify the scope items activated and saved within these transport requests. When accessing the object list of such transport requests, only table entries and table keys are visible, and the corresponding scope items included in the request cannot be determined from this view.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the "Export Customizing Transport" app.
  2. Select and open the transport request of type "SAP Central Business Configuration (BC Scope Extension)".
  3. Go to the Objects tab.
  4. A list of objects (for example, table contents such as SCOPE_STATE_TR) is displayed. When these entries are accessed, only table keys are visible, and it is not possible to identify the scope items activated and saved within these transport requests.

Resolution

To identify the scope items activated and saved within a transport request of type SAP Central Business Configuration (BC Scope Extension), note that such transport requests are linked to a CBC Staging ID. In the transport request overview, the Display CBC Staging option can be used to navigate to the CBC staging area for more related information.

Steps to follow

  1. Navigate to the Export Customizing Transport app.
  2. Select and open the transport request of type SAP Central Business Configuration (BC Scope Extension).
  3. Click on "Display CBC Staging".
  4. This navigates to the "Change Business Configuration Staging" page.
  5. Go to the "Activities" tab.
  6. Click on the "IMG Activity (START_A_PR_ACTIV)".
  7. Click Continue to identify the scope items activated and saved within the transport request.
