3739147 - Error Occurs While Creating Locations Using Manage Locations App

When creating a new Location in the Manage Locations app, it is necessary to enter Country/Region else system will throw an error message. 

Error - "Enter a valid Country/Region."

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to the Manage Locations app
2. Create a new Location
3. Leave the Country/Region field empty
4. Attempt to click on Create
5. Observe that saving is blocked and error is shown

A validation check has been introduced in Nov 2024 to enforce Country/Region as mandatory field in the Manage Locations app. The Country/Region field is mandatory in the backend, to bring the consistency with the backend functionality & hence the check it is added. From 2025 onwards, it is mandatory to enter Country/Region field in the Manage Locations app. 

In order to fix the error message, you can follow the below steps; 

1. Go to Manage Locations app and click on Create
2. Enter a valid Country/Region in the Location address before saving
3. Enter Location, Location Type & Location Description
4. Enter Address details and fill Country/Region, Street, City, Postal Code etc.
5. Choose Calculate Geocoordinates
6. Choose Create and location will be saved
