Symptom

  • Replication Flow source setup repeatedly retries and fails.
  • Error message: "failed to send order to ABAP system: operation timed out".

Environment

  • SAP Datasphere
  • SAP S/4 HANA

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Start a Replication Flow using an ABAP-based on-premise source with the CDS_EXTRACTION container.
  2. Run the flow; observe that the source setup is retried multiple times.
  3. Check the run details and see the error "failed to send order to ABAP system: operation timed out".
