Symptom
When changing a position from job information, a field got removed, but when selecting another position then change it back, the value will be populated.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
- Position management
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to configure people profile->note that Latest Editing and history UI is enabled
- Navigate to any user's job information
- Click on edit and change the position , note that a certain filed got removed
- select another position then change it back, the field got populated again.
- Note that this field is a picklist and has a parent picklist.
Cause
This is a known error. The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.
Resolution
The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.
Workaround: Disable the latest editing UI from configure the latest people profile->general settings
