3740090 - Onboarding initiation fails with "unable to insert data due to a server error" or "[error code: 2] user id already in use" - Post 1H 2026 Release

• Manual onboarding shows the error: "Unable to insert data due to a server error".
• Onboarding initiated from recruiting fails with: "[Error Code: 2] The User ID you provided is already in use. Please select another User ID."

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

• Start onboarding from recruiting for a candidate and observe the error: "[Error Code: 2] The User ID you provided is already in use. Please select another User ID."
• Start manual onboarding and observe the error: "Unable to insert data due to a server error.

• If there are any other mandatory fields in Employment Information Data Model such as (Original Start Date, First Date Worked, etc) apart from start-date, end-date and company, system is throwing an error at the time of initiation.
• Engineering Team are aware of the issue and working to resolve it at the earliest.

• The issue was caused due to an internal toggle from the backend that was validating the mandatory field in employment information portlet which was not a required parameter prior to the release.
• The toggle has been switched off in the backend allowing successful initiation of onboarding. 
• The issue has been resolved now.
