3740112 - SSN is getting deleted in Old/Past Profiles of Employees - Onboarding

Symptom

The US Social Security Number (SSN) is getting deleted in SuccessFactors without intervention from employee in their Old/Past Employee Profiles.

Cause

Expected behavior.

Resolution

There is no data deletion occurring. The employee is transferring from one legal entity to another in a different country. Based on the permissions assigned and the country associated with the legal entity, the applicable National ID cards are displayed.

When switch back to the previous employment record the SSN appears under National ID Cards as expected.

This is standard system behavior and is governed by the following permission setting:

  • National ID (Restricted to only country/region of legal entity)
