Symptom
- Project time recording in the system is configured to require approval.
- A time entry is submitted via manage my timesheet and removed again before approval is granted.
- The expected behaviour is a cancelled status in the database; however, the record is deleted instead.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- In Manage My Timesheet, enter and submit a time record.
- In CBS View I_TIMESHEETRECORD and/or I_TIMESHEET find the submitted time record.
- Before any approval occurs, delete the submitted time entry in Manage My Timesheet.
- Recheck the CBS View: instead of being shown as cancelled, the deleted entry is no longer present.
Resolution
- This is the standard system behaviour.
- Deletion of timesheet records entries having time sheet status 'in process' or 'submitted' is a hard delete from the database.
