3740352 - Unable to log in to Repository on Designer: ODBC call to connect database <> failed with error - SAP Data Services

Symptom

When logging on Designer, the following error is being raised:

  • ERROR: ODBC call to connect database <> failed with error: <[SAP][LIBODBCHDB DLL][HDBODBC] General error;10 authentication failed>. Use the ODBCDriverSelector (Windows) or DSConnectionManager.sh (UNIX) utility in LINK_DIR/bin to configure the correct version of the driver. If the problem still exists after selecting the correct version of the driver, notify Customer Support. (BODI-1112172)
