3740515 - PCC Process Supports Only One 3PR Posting Result per Process

Symptom

  • You want to generate separate Third Party (3PR) posting results for multiple HR payee types within a single PCC process.
  • You configured several Third-Party Posting steps within one PCC process to execute program RPURMP00 with different HR payee types.
  • When running the process:
    • You start the step “Create Third Party Posting.”
    • You observe that posting results created in earlier steps are deleted, and only one RunID remains in the process.

Environment

  • Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • SAP enhancement package for SAP ERP
  • SAP enhancement package for SAP ERP, version for SAP HANA

Reproducing the Issue

  • In PCC, create a process and add multiple Third-Party Posting steps that call RPURMP00, each with a different HR payee type.
  • Execute the process.
  • After completion of the steps, check the posting results/run history.
  • Notice that only one RunID persists; earlier posting results are deleted.

Cause

PCC does not support more than one RunID for Third Party Posting within a single process instance. If multiple steps within the same process create Third Party posting documents (RPURMP00), the results generated by earlier steps are deleted.  As a result, only one posting result are retained for the entire process.

In addition, the release and transfer of Third‑Party postings are also designed to work with a single Run ID per PCC process.

Resolution

To ensure separate 3PR posting results for different HR payee types:
  • Configure a separate PCC process for each HR payee type.
  • Ensure that only one process step is used to create the Third‑Party Posting within each process.

Note: The same approach applies if you want to generate different Third‑Party posting results by company code or business area—configure separate processes so that each process retains its own single RunID.
