3740625 - PDC and Employee Data Review Pages Not Loading for Internal Hires, Managers, and Offboardees

Symptom

  • When trying to complete the personal data collection (PDC) as Internal Hire, the Page keeps loading. 
  • When trying to complete the employee data review step as offboardee, the page keeps loading. 
  • When trying to complete the Employer data review task as Manager the page keeps loading. 
  • As an admin we are able to access the above steps. 

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 2605 

Reproducing the Issue

Scenario 1: 

  1. Login as Internal Hire
  2. Try to complete the personal data collection step
  3. The page keeps loading endlessly. 

Scenario 2: 

  1. Login as Offboardee
  2. Try to complete the Employee Review step
  3. The page keeps loading endlessly. 

Scenario 3: 

  1. Login as Manager
  2. Try to complete the Employer Review step
  3. The page keeps loading endlessly. 

Cause

This is a Known Issue.

Resolution

SOLUTION:

  • The engineering team has created a fix for the issue in the upcoming P2 Patch cycle.
  • This will be released on the 28th of April for all the Preview instances.
  • We would request you to test this issue 24 hours after the patch has been successfully released.
  • This would also be patched on all the production environments on the 15th of May to ensure there is no disruption after the production release.  

WORKAROUND UNTIL THE FIX:

To avoid providing Manager data access to Employee, Please create a new permission role and add only the status permission with the target population as Granted User's Manager. Assign this role to the affected user. 

Please follow below workaround till the fix is applied: 

  • Ensure Status permission is provided to the affected user: Employee Data -> Status
  • Ensure the Target population includes the Direct Report's manager. Target population should include "Granted User's Manager".
