Symptom
- Employees are not receiving their offboarding email notifications to complete offboarding tasks and the exit survey.
- "(OFB) Resignation Approval Message To Employee Template" email was not triggered
- Only managers are receiving the relevant offboarding emails.
Environment

Reproducing the Issue
- Initiate the Offboarding 2.0 resignation approval process for a user.
- Expect the exit email/notification to be sent to the employee.
- Observe that the manager receives their notification while the employee does not.
Cause
The employee's business email is not maintained in the employee profile or synced to the Onboarding user data file (UDF), resulting in a null recipient for the employee notification.
Resolution
- Open the user's profile in Employee Central and verify that the business email is populated and valid.
- If your configuration expects personal email as the primary for offboarding communications, set the personal email as primary equal to yes.
- Re-run a test offboarding for a test user or re-send the notification and confirm the employee receives the email.
