3740802 - Default Background Image in Latest Home Page showing Instead of Configured Background - SuccessFactors

• After updating the home page to the latest version and saving a custom theme change (for example, header color), the home page displays a default light blue background image.
• The default background overlays or replaces the configured background (custom image or no image).
• The background of the home page is not getting updated even when updating the background on Theme Manager. 
• Setting background image opacity to 0% as suggested in KBA 2787362 does not remove the default image.
• No error message is displayed.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core

1. Go to Theme Manager. 
2. Expand the Fine Tune > Background. 
3. Choose "No Image" or upload a custom background image. 
4. Click the Save button. 
5. Go back to Home Page and noticed that the background still displays the default background image. 

Fine Tune > Background only changes the general background of SuccessFactors but not the Home Page background.

Note: These theme settings are available when the Latest Home Page is Enabled, at Admin Center > Company System and Logo Settings > Enable the latest Home Page experience.

To change the Home Page background:

1. Go to Theme Manager. 
2. Expand Fine Tune > Home Page > Background and select whichever option you prefer: 

• • Default - Displays a default background image
  • Solid color - Defines a background color for the latest home page only.
  • Upload an image - Defines a background image for the latest home page only.

Important Notes: 

• The above changes will ONLY take effect if you have selected "Use this Theme" under Fine Tune > Landing Page Theme. 
  • 
  • Hence, if the changes are still not being applied despite making the above changes, check the option selected on the Landing Page Theme. If a different theme is selected on this settings, the Home Page will follow that theme (ex: SAP Fiori with Morning Horizon (light)) and display the background of that theme on the Home Page. 
• Post 1H26, the default background has been updated from gray to blue. If you make any changes to the custom theme and then revert back to Default, that default will have changed to the new version (blue). If you prefer the gray default background, you can select "SAP Fiori with Morning Horizon (light)" on the Landing Page Theme. 

• Currently, the option to adjust the transparency of the banner image is not supported. As a workaround, customers can adjust their images before importing them.
