3741045 - Failed to open X11 application remotely from Windows machine using a SSH client

Symptom

When running configtool.sh from the Config Tool directory, the tool does not open or is not displayed correctly. No explicit error appears in the terminal, but the configtool trace/log contains errors such as:

    Config tool stoped due to fatal error. See trace file for more details.
    java.awt.HeadlessException: No X11 DISPLAY variable was set, but this program performed an operation which requires it.
