3741156 - Translation is not applied to Story Calculations when using a dynamic description in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

The following behavior occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

• Translation is not applied to Story Calculations when using a dynamic description

SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Create a story.
2. Insert a widget.
3. Create a Story Calculation using a calculation input control.
4. Use the calculation input control as the calculation description (dynamic description).
5. Enable translation and save the story.
6. Check the translation panel.
7. The dynamic description text is not listed.
8. Change the profile’s Data Access Language to French (or any language other than English).
9. Open the story.
10. Observed Behavior: 

• • The translation is not reflected in the calculation description because the dynamic description text is not included in the translation entries. 

This is a by-design behavior.
