3741692 - Unable to Remove Rules in Automatic Account Determination App - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Once a rule has been selected and saved in the Automatic Account Determination App, it cannot be removed.

1. Open the Automatic Account Determination app.
2. Navigate to Financial Accounting→ AR and AP → Accounts for Payment Transactions.

3. Parameters:

   • Transaction: SKN (Cash Discount and Payment Differences)
   • Account Key: ZDI
   • Chart of Accounts: YCOA
4.  The "Tax Code" and "Reason Code" is editable.
   
   
5. Once selected both rules "Tax Code" and "Reason Code" , and save. It's not possible to remove the rules anymore.
   Attempt to edit an existing rule and uncheck the Tax Code field; observe the checkbox is not editable and the selection cannot be removed.
   
   

• The app enforces a principle where additions to rules are allowed, but reductions are not.
• Fields that were previously unchecked can be selected (adds fields) because this does not impact existing data.
• Removing fields that have been checked is not allowed because it would affect existing data.

Once the tax code is activated, it must be maintained. It is essential to maintain entries for every tax code that might be used during payment difference posting. If the tax code is not maintained, it will NOT be applicable to all tax codes.

To remove selected rules, all existing data must be deleted beforehand. However, if there is a default content, do not delete it (the system will block deletion). SAP default content cannot be deleted and attempting this shows the message: "Deletion not possible for record created by SAP.". 

It is only possible to remove rules using expert configuration for which you need to contact your Enterprise Customer Success Manager (E-CSM) or a Digital Customer Success Manager (D-CSM) or a partner with an assigned Partner Development Manager (PDM) who will guide you through this process.
