3741867 - Not possible to trigger Document Flow step X days before the hire date – Onboarding

Symptom

Is it possible to trigger the E-Signature step a defined number of days (for example, three days) before the candidate’s hire date so that the Onboarding Document Flow starts in advance of the hire date?

Reproducing the Issue

Resolution

At present, this functionality is not supported.

The system does not allow the Onboarding Document Flow to be initiated based on a fixed time offset (for example, a specific number of days before the hire or start date). Instead, the Document Flow can only be triggered based on conditions defined in the Process Variant (for example, upon completion of another step such as Data Collection).
