Symptom
- Random issue with I-9 section 2 task not displayed in the Home page Card.
- The same task appears in the To-Do section and can be completed from the header or the onboarding dashboard.
- Behavior is inconsistent: some onboardees display the task on the tile, others do not.
- No error messages are displayed.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in.
- Add a new hire to onboarding and complete new hire data review.
- Have the onboardee complete personal data, additional data, and I‑9 Section 1 (including e-signature).
- As a member of the responsible group (for example, the user's role such as hiring manager or I‑9 verifier), open the homepage and review the Home page card.
- Observe that for some onboardees the “Complete Form I‑9 Section 2” task is not present on the Home Page Card, while it is still available in the To‑Do section or onboarding dashboard.
Cause
A product issue requiring a code correction leads to inconsistent visibility of I‑9 Section 2 tasks on the Home page tile.
Resolution
- Use the To‑Do section or the onboarding dashboard to complete I‑9 Section 2 tasks when they do not appear on the Home page tile.
- Use Task Management (available starting in the 1H2026 release) to view and access I‑9 Section 2 tasks.
- Monitor this KBA for updates. A code fix is planned; contact support if a patch is required after the fix becomes available.
