3742093 - Information related to Content repositories to be used for data archiving in transaction SARA.

Symptom

  • Please note BTP DMS Services or CMIS content servers cannot be used as Storage Solution for Archive files with ADK, they are not supported. (This selection happens in include L0ARCF10 (program SAPL0ARC), in form SELECT_CREP_501)

  • ADK only supports the following Content Server types: HTTP content server, RFC archive, Logical Repository & ILM DB Store (Important note: ILM DB Store can only be used for Archiving Objects which are ILM-enabled)

  • The archiving of application data is being carried out in the SAP system using the Archive Development Kit (ADK) in transaction SARA. During the customizing the required content repository to be used to store the archived data is not present in SARA even though it is present in transaction OAC0.

  • Please note that if archiving is being carried out using ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) then no content repository can be present in the Customizing for the Archive Object in SARA.

  • For example, here in transaction OAC0 is a content repository FI is created for the storage of data archived using the archive object FI_DOCUMENT:

In transaction SARA => Archive Object = FI_DOCUMNT, content repository FI not available from the drop-down for available content repositories (Customizing => Archiving Object-Specific Customizing: Technical Settings)
