3742168 - Deduction cards shows incorrect amount in amount/percentage/units along with currency in latest people profile

Symptom

When a X valued Percentage/Number based payComponent is entered in Recurring Deduction and One Time Deduction cards, it shows value as X USD, X INR etc with currency which is incorrect as its a percentage and not an amount to display currency beside.

Prerequisite: Enable the latest Viewing, Editing and History UI on Full Profile ‎(With Non-Configurable UI) is enabled in Configure Latest People Profile for respective cards.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to an employee profile.
  2. Navigate to People Profile > Recurring Deduction.
  3. Select “View All”.
  4. Observe that the card/list displays X(percentage/number) USD(Currency) for Amount/Percentage/Number of Units field though its just percentage or number for such payComponents and Currency adds to confusion.
  5. Click the record to expand the details.
  6. Observe that the details show the correct computed value along with percentage/number as well as currency as separate fields.

Example below is for 10% value, showing as 10 EUR instead of just 10% and Currency=EUR. On clicking details, we can see the values in separate fields making it clear.

Cause

Due to complication in design, the currency is being currently shown along with its percentage/number value as is in deduction records. (PS: this works fine and shows calculated value in payCompRecurring and payCompNonRecurring HRIS portlets as per KBA-2331382, 2345689)

Resolution

Engineering are removing the currency being shown along with percentage/number to avoid confusion and the computed value can be referred by clicking details of specific row of Recurring deduction/One time deduction as shown above.

The changes are expected to be done by 2H2026 via internal reference #ECT-270880
