3742190 - SAP HANA Error Occurs While Navigating in SAP Datasphere

• While navigating in SAP Datasphere the following error is displayed:

• The following error appears in the logs:
  error: [MetaAccess] <e445af43-dd7e-4e65-8d1d-9ddffde42b02> Setting XS_APPLICATIONUSER failed! Closing connection.
  HanaError: the predefined session variable cannot be set via SET command: XS_APPLICATIONUSER (can only be set with a valid JWT or SAML assertion)
  
  
• When listing Spaces in Space Management, error appears: Sorry, something went wrong when trying to retrieve the storage data. Click here to try again.

• In the System About page, the database release information is not available.
  

• SAP Datasphere

1. Log in to the SAP Datasphere tenant.

2. Navigate to any page (e.g., Data Builder, Space Management).

3. Observe the HANA error message displayed on screen or in the logs.

It is caused by invalid trust relationship between XSUAA and the HANA tenant causing the error.

Open a case with SAP requesting that an engineer to re-establish a valid trust relationship between XSUAA and the HANA tenant in the tenant. Reference this KBA in the case description.

The solution is sheduled to be delivered by June 19th. Subscribe to this KBA (see KBA 2171560) to receive updates.
