3742213 - Group reporting custom validation rule logic in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

You would like to implement a validation logic (e.g. G/L Account vs. Transaction Type check) using custom logic or user exits, similar to what is available in SAP S/4HANA On-Premise.

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, Group Reporting validations are designed to be executed using the standard validation framework (validation rules and methods), which is based on configuration.

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, validations in Group Reporting are handled using the standard validation framework, which is based on:

• Validation Rules
• Validation Methods
• Execution via Data Monitor / Consolidation Monitor

This framework is configuration-based and operates on Group Reporting data (ACDOCU).

At present, there is no extensibility option available within Group Reporting to implement additional custom validation logic (such as user exits or custom ABAP code).

The available SAP Help documentation describes the standard validation framework but does not include any enhancement option for custom validation logic within this process.

Workarounds / Alternatives

Depending on your requirement, you may consider:

• Modeling the validation using standard validation rules
• Performing the validation in the source system before releasing data to Group Reporting
