3742278 - Estimated costs cleared or overwritten at maintenance order release due to automatic copy setting

Symptom

When maintaining a PM/CS maintenance order in status CRTD, users enter estimated costs manually.
After changing the order to REL (Release), estimated costs are overwritten, recalculated, or appear as zeroed (depending on planned cost values and copy logic).

This behavior can be observed in:

  • Fiori app (for example, Change Maintenance Order)
  • WDA-based order processing
  • SAP GUI transactions IW31 / IW32
