3742300 - App "Determine Lowest Value: Market Price" does not take lowest value from Purchase Order

Symptom

App "Determine Lowest Value: Market Price"(MRN0) does not take lowest value from Purchase Order

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

Cause

As mentioned in Lowest Value Determination Based on Market Prices

  • Purchase Orders

For each material, the system compares the order prices in all purchase orders whose order date is in the specified period. This is irrespective of:

  • Whether goods have been received for the purchase order

  • Whether an invoice that varies from the order price has been posted

You use a parameter to determine which strategy is used to include the prices determined for a material in the procedure. Currently, two strategies are implemented: Either the lowest of all the prices or the latest price is transferred. For purchase orders in a foreign currency, you can choose from various types of exchange rate comparison.

Resolution

  1. In the “Determine Lowest Value: Market Price” (MRN0) app, set the date parameters so that the purchase orders you want evaluated fall within the specified period for comparison.
  2. Verify the price selection strategy for purchase orders and choose the option that fits your requirement (for example, lowest price or latest price).
  3. Rerun the valuation and confirm that the purchase order price is considered in the comparison.
