3742584 - Document Generation: Default permission updated for MDF Objects - 1H2026

Symptom

The permission category: "Document Generation Object Permissions", the permissions that were originally set had been removed after 1H2026 preview release.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to instance and navigate to Change Audit Reports
  2. Open the "Create Configuration Data Report" tab
  3. Report Type: RBP Role Change Report
  4. Time Range: 12th April to 14 April
  5. Check the generated report
  6. Notice: Changed By User: v4admin (System System)
    Timestamp: 2026-04-13T11:03:59Z

Cause

RCA for this issue:
The permission loss is introduced during the Onboarding 2.0 role migration process. 

When the migration process looks for all "MDF Objects" to preserve during migration, it skipped the document generation template object because it can't fetch the RBP permission category of document object from cache.
Why not in cache? 
The permission category on "document generation template" is newly introduced in 2605. It's not yet been loaded into cache before Onboarding migration starts.

Resolution

Engineering team has fixed this issue and patched the same in preview environment last Production release May 16, 2026.
