As part of the 1H 2026 release, a new feature, Release Center, has been introduced to enable customers to view What's New Viewer articles featuring new release items directly from the SAP SuccessFactors instance itself.

The Release Center is designed to streamline the management of SAP SuccessFactors major releases (1H and 2H). It provides a tenant-aware and personalized experience that helps administrators efficiently review, assess, and manage upcoming changes.

Every six months, SAP SuccessFactors delivers new features, enhancements, and capabilities designed to support and improve your HR operations. Customers have a limited timeframe of six weeks to review, understand, adopt, and test the delivered changes. Managing these updates within a short release cycle can be challenging. Release Center helps simplify this process by providing a centralized and efficient way to manage release readiness activities.

Note: Consider that not all the release items that appears on the What's New Viewer will be found on the Release Center. Only the relevant items to the instance will be displayed.

Configuration Requirements

Release Center is available to all administrators who have the required role-based permissions (RBP).

Restrictions for Release Center (1H 2026 Version)

The 1H 2026 version of Release Center currently has the following limitations:

  • Release Center is currently available only in English (U.S. English). Some shared UI components may appear in the user's local language.
  • Release Center does not visually highlight updates made to articles after new information is published in the What's New Viewer on the SAP Help Portal.You can subscribe to the What's New Viewer to receive notifications of updates and a link to the list on the SAP Help Portal with the visual indication. You can also use the SAP Help Portal to filter by revision. .
  • Release Center displays only the current release cycle and is not intended to function as an archive for previous releases.
  • When accessing Release Center, content is automatically filtered based on tenant configuration to display articles that are expected to be relevant. This filtering is based on best-match logic, and customers are encouraged to review additional content manually as needed.
  • Release Center is not fully self-contained. In some scenarios, users may be redirected to the What's New Viewer for further details.

Role-Based Permission Prerequisites

1. To access and use the Release Impact Center, you must grant Release Center ->Access Release Center.

2. To assign features to other administrators and update overall title status, you must grant Release Center ->Assign Users to Articles.

3.The background job that loads the What's New content into Release Center requires you to select Release Center Object Permissions mandatorily.
