SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

3742682 - Knowledge Base UI shows message "Knowledge base provider is not responding. Try again later."

Symptom

  • Upon logging into the Self Service Portal or Agent Desktop, the following message is displayed immediately in the Knowledge Base section:
    • "KB Articles Unavailable – Knowledge base provider is not responding. Try again later.
    • Additional observations:
      • The message appears before any search is performed.
      • No manual knowledge base query has yet been triggered.
      • After entering a search term and executing a search, knowledge base results may still be returned successfully.
  • In the browser Developer Tools Network trace, the API response shows:
    • HTTP 422 Unprocessable Content
    • Error Code: knowledgebase.1002
    • Target: Trending Articles with a Generic Knowledge Base Provider
