Symptom
When using the Manage Bank Statements app and attempting to reprocess a bank statement with status “Not Completed”, the system navigates to Reprocess Bank Statement Items, where:
- The Company Code field in the filter bar appears as “undefined”
- The following error message is displayed:
"In the context of Data Services an unknown internal server error occurred."
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the app "Manage Bank Statements".
- Select a bank statement with status "Not Completed".
- Click "Reprocess" to navigate to the app "Reprocess Bank Statement Items".
- Observe that the company code in the filter bar is set to "undefined" and an error is displayed.
Cause
This issue is caused by browser-related inconsistencies, including:
- Corrupted or outdated browser cache and cookies.
- Session data issues affecting parameter transfer between fiori apps.
Due to this, the Company Code value is not correctly passed, resulting in it being displayed as “undefined”, which triggers the backend error.
Resolution
Option 1: Clear Browser Cache and Cookies
- Clear cache, cookies, and browsing data from your browser.
- Close all browser sessions.
- Log in again and retry the process.
Option 2: Use a Different Browser
- Open the system in another supported browser (e.g., Chrome, Microsoft Edge).
- Navigate to Manage Bank Statements.
- Select the relevant statement and click Reprocess.
