3742783 - Custom theme from Legacy Homepage no longer showing after enabling Latest Homepage Experience

Symptom

  • After the 1H 2026 update, the Latest Homepage Experience was automatically enabled, and the existing homepage custom theme is no longer visible. For example, the previous background image has been replaced with a plain color, and text colors and other styling have changed.
  • The theme used in the legacy homepage is no longer displayed when the Latest Homepage Experience is enabled.
  • If the Latest Homepage Experience is disabled, the custom theme becomes available again.
  • In other areas of SuccessFactors, the theme is still visible.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suites

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Latest Homepage Experience is enabled from Company System and Logo Settings.
  2. Navigate to the Homepage.
  3. Observe that the previous home page theme (e.g. background image, text color, etc) is no longer applied.

Cause

This behavior is expected as per the current design.

Resolution

This is confirmed to be working as expected. As part of the new design and enhancement, updated controls have been introduced for the background and greeting section images. Not all elements from the previous design have a direct equivalent in the new experience. Therefore, customers are advised to refresh or update their customizations to better align with the updated look and feel.
