EP users can be selected in Manager field in Job Information when Latest Editing UI is enabled.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central 1H 2026

1. Enable the option: Enable the latest editing and history UI for employee central HRIS entities on full profile in Configure Latest People Profile > General settings. 
2. Go to an employee’s profile, add a record in Job Information and try to search for a user in the Manager/Supervisor field.
3. Observe that a user who exists in the system but does not have Employee Central employment (EP-only user) is returned and can be selected.
   
   
4. Note: if latest editing UI is not enabled or in Legacy People Profile, EP user cannot be returned.
   

This is a Known Issue.

The fix for this issue is tentatively planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release (yet to be confirmed).

Note: EP users can still be entered as managers via imports and OData upserts.
