3742903 - Report Filter On Department ID Shows 'Value Not Valid For Variable Department ID' In Custom Report

When we filter using a particular department ID in selection, we are getting the error message: "Value not valid for variable Department ID; Check your variable selections"

SAP Cloud for Customer 

1. Go to Business Analytics work center.
2. Navigate to Design Reports.
3. Open the report.
4. In the selection, set the filter with a particular Department ID.
5. Run the report.
6. An error message is shown "Value not valid for variable Department ID; Check your variable selections" .

No employees are maintained in the selected department at the time of execution.

1. Maintain the employee data for the department (for example, assign at least one employee to the department).
2. Run the report with the Department ID filter.
3. The report shows the expected data.
