Symptom

Error ""An error occurred. Please create an incident on component 'CO-PC-OBJ-EBR'" occurs when executing the revenue recognition run for a free goods scenario with revenue allocation based on IFRS 15 principles.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create sales order with free goods.
  2. Complete outbound delivery and post goods issue.
  3. Created billing document.
  4. Execute run revenue recognition.

Cause

The issue is caused by multiple ledger processing during the Revenue Recognition run.

Resolution

This issue is related to multiple ledger processing during the Revenue Recognition run.
This is a known issue, and a fix is currently being developed. In the meantime, it is recommended that new jobs be scheduled on a per-ledger basis as a temporary workaround.
The following steps should be taken:
  • One job should be created with the following parameters: Period, Company Code, Specific Ledger, and Sales Order.
  • A second job should then be created using the same selection screen, but for a different Specific Ledger.
  • This process should be repeated for any additional ledgers that require the job to be run.
