3743456 - Email output error “Recipient address <email> is not allowed” in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

When sending output (e.g. billing documents, invoices, or other documents) via the EMAIL channel in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, the output fails with the following error message:

“Recipient address <email> is not allowed”
“Processing of item ‘X’ using channel EMAIL failed.”

  • The issue occurs consistently in test (Q) systems
  • Output via other channels (e.g. PRINT/Preview) works correctly
  • Email output may work in production (P) system but fail in test (Q)
  • Output status shows Error (5)
