3743583 - Error " '' is not a valid language (Message no. TK295) when changing implementation status for G/L accounts – SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public edition

When attempting to change the implementation status of the G/L account, encounter error Message no. TK295.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. In Manage G/L Account Master Data app, 
2. Change the implementation status from "N" (Not Used) or "I" (In Process) to "P" (Productive).
3. Observe that the system raises error Message no.TK295 stating that " '' is not a valid language even when the language key is maintained as "EN". 

This behavior has been identified as a regression issue and will be fixed via VP, this fix will reach the customer systems in the frame May the 3rd 2026.  

As a workaround, use the following steps to change the implementation status of G/L accounts:

1. Change the status from N (or I) to P. The error will show up.

2. At this time, make any change to the description short text of the G/L account.

3. Then you are able to save it.

4. After the implementation status is changed, you can change the description text back to original as desired.
