1. Maintain Name 1 and Name 2 with up to 40 characters in the Business Partner record in the "Manage Business Partner Master Data" app.
2. Open the "Manage Supplier Line Item" report and view the supplier name.
3. Observe that only 35 characters are displayed for Name 1 and Name 2; the same occurs in standard forms.

The app "Manage Supplier Line Items" can be enhanced using key user tools. In the 'Custom Fields' app, fields of the apps can be extended via the 'Data Source Extension'. The business context can be found using the term 'Supplier Line Item'.

The app can be extended via the association to 'Supplier'. The field 'Business Partner - Supplier Name' contains the concatenation of Name 1 and Name 2, each with 40 characters (these are the names maintained in the business partner master data). Note that other fields, such as the 'External BP Number', are also available and may help identify the supplier (business partner) across systems.
