Symptom
- In the app F2450, users were previously able to display the single values of restrictions for multiple roles and export them to Excel; this capability is now missing.
- The export currently creates one row per restriction with a number of values (value count) instead of listing the individual restriction values.
- Users cannot validate the maintained restriction values across multiple roles using the export.
Environment
- Product: SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
- Identity and Access Management
- App: IAM Information System (F2450)
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the IAM Information System (F2450) app.
- Select the business role context and choose one or more roles.
- Run the report and download the list to Excel.
- Observe that the export shows a single row per restriction with a value count instead of the individual restriction values.
Cause
- The download and table format was updated to align with UX guidelines and database normalization (first normal form).
- The lists were separated into “Business Role - Restrictions” and “Business Role - Restriction Values” for performance reasons, as the number of entries can be very large.
Resolution
- In IAM Information System (F2450), open and download the list “Business Role - Restriction Values” to obtain all individual restriction values for selected roles.
- To view values within the “Business Role - Restrictions” view, click the expand/arrow icon at the end of the restriction row to display its values.
- If bulk analysis is required, export the “Business Role - Restriction Values” list to Excel for auditing and validation.
