3744025 - The default role assigned to Super Admin does not have permissions related to editing connectors

Symptom

Context: When creating a Super Admin under Manage Super Admin Access (Admin Center), a new admin account is created in Learning Administration with super admin privileges, i.e., the role ALL is assigned (but hidden).

The role ALL in the environment has all available permissions assigned. However, the admin is unable to edit any connector schedules.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into the system with a Super Admin account (Manage Learning Admin Access permission granted) >
  2. Navigate to Learning Administration >
  3. Navigate to any connector schedule page >
  4. Observe that the admin cannot edit the connector schedule >
  5. Go to Learning Administration > System Administration > Security > Role Management >
  6. Search for the role 'ALL' >
  7. Observe that the role has all available permissions assigned.

Resolution

The system is working as intended.

The default 'ALL' role, which is assigned to the super admin, contains only view connector type permissions. Anything related to edit permissions is in a different default role: 'ALL_CONNECTOR'.

If any differences are observed in the 'ALL' role, it indicates that it has been modified to include edit permissions. The super admin technical role does not include edit connector permissions by design.
