Symptom
When clicking on "Forgot Password" on the Agency Login screen with IAS enabled, users are not receiving the Forgot Password email
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Enable “Identity Authentication Service (IAS) for Agency Users” in Manage Recruiting Settings.
- Navigate to the agency login page and select “Forgot Password” for an agency user.
- Observe that no reset email is received by the agency user.
Cause
The identity provisioning job for the agency source system was not configured or run, so agency users were not synced to IAS as mentioned in the guide. Forgot Password emails originate from IAS and require the user to exist there.
Resolution
- Ensure “Identity Authentication Service (IAS) for Agency Users” is enabled in Manage Recruiting Settings (Agency Portal section).
- Verify the agency application exists in IAS. If the agency application is missing, please create a ticket to SAP Support.
- Once application is created, schedule the identity provisioning job for the agency source system to sync agency users to IAS by going to Identity Provisioning>Source system>Select agency source system>Jobs>Schedule>Turn on scheduler>Set scheduler time
- Set an appropriate frequency (for example, every 30 minutes) and run once to perform an initial sync.
- After the job runs and users are synced to IAS, have the agency user go to the agency login and use “Forgot Password” to initiate the reset email from IAS.
Note: Agency users do not need an EC/Platform user account. Maintain agency users in “Set Up Agency Access”; the provisioning job handles syncing these users to IAS.
