Symptom
When Adding Contingent Workers to Future-Inactive Positions, organizational data such as: cost center, division, legal entity etc. are not propagated from the Position.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Contingent Workforce
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Position Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a position with a future-dated inactive date that occurs after the intended contingent worker’s work order end date (the position remains active during the work order period).
- Open Add Contingent Worker UI and fill in the required details.
- Select the created Position.
- Observe that organizational data such as cost center, division, legal entity etc. are not propagated from the Position
Cause
This is a defect in 1H 2026 release.
Resolution
- Engineering Team has fixed this issue via patch on 12th May 2026 in Preview environments. Fix will go into production instances with the 1H 2026 release.
Workaround:
Manually update job information either via UI or Job Information import.
