3744240 - Position to Job Info sync rule does not trigger when adding a Contingent Worker to a future-inactive position - SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Symptom

When Adding Contingent Workers to Future-Inactive Positions, organizational data such as: cost center, division, legal entity etc. are not propagated from the Position.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Contingent Workforce
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Position Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a position with a future-dated inactive date that occurs after the intended contingent worker’s work order end date (the position remains active during the work order period).
  2. Open Add Contingent Worker UI and fill in the required details.
  3. Select the created Position.
  4. Observe that organizational data such as cost center, division, legal entity etc. are not propagated from the Position

Cause

This is a defect in 1H 2026 release.

Resolution

  • Engineering Team has fixed this issue via patch on 12th May 2026 in Preview environments. Fix will go into production instances with the 1H 2026 release.

Workaround:

Manually update job information either via UI or Job Information import.
