3744302 - Ability to access the exception aggregation average and count calculations with refined name in model since SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) 2026 QRC2 update

Symptom

  • The AVERAGE and COUNT exception aggregations for standard models and public dimensions have been renamed to AVERAGE incl. 0, NULL and COUNT incl. 0, NULL since SAC 2026 QRC2 update
  • It is now also possible to apply these exceptions aggregations on account members without requiring a formula since SAC 2026 QRC2 update.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.8

Resolution

  • Since SAC 2026 QRC2 update, average and count exception aggregations in the model UI as well as new information and warning messages are renamed to clearly indicate which data is included in calculations .
  • The AVERAGE and COUNT exception aggregations for standard models and public dimensions have been renamed to AVERAGE incl. 0, NULL and COUNT incl. 0, NULL. Before this change, NULL and zero values were included with AVERAGE and COUNT, but this wasn't reflected in the user interface.
  • This change provides better visibility on what data is included with these aggregation functions and helps to prevent misinterpretation of results.
  • Additionally, the restriction that prevented base accounts from using Count and Average exception aggregation types has been lifted. It is now possible to apply these exceptions aggregations on account members without requiring a formula.
  • For more detailed information, please refer to Roadmap Refinement of exception aggregation average and count calculations and help document About Dimensions and Measures | SAP Help Portal.
