3744557 - ErrorGeneratingOutput while extending Supplier XBO in SAP Cloud Application Studio

• An error occurs during the activation of the Supplier Business Object (Supplier XBO) in SAP Cloud Application Studio.
• Error message: “ErrorGeneratingOutput attached”.

1. Open Pdi solution
2. Navigate to src → Right-click → Add → New Item.
3. Enter a name for the new item (e.g., SupplierBase) and click Add.
4. In the Namespace selection, choose: http://sap.com/xi/AP/FO/BusinessPartner/Global.
5. Select the Business Object: Supplier.
6. Complete the wizard and attempt to generate/activate the extension.
7. The system throws the error “ErrorGeneratingOutput"

Extension of BOs experiencing issues using VS2026

An investigation into the root cause is ongoing.

Two workarounds available:

1. Use only VS2022 for development activities
2. If this is not possible, then please raise a case requesting support teams to create the required BO extensions, providing naming attibutes.
