3744619 - Item entity type missing in import data when trying to bulk deactivate courses

There is a requirement to bulk deactivation of courses, however item is missing in the dropdown of Entity Type of Import Data tool.

1. Go to Learning Administration.
2. Open System Administration.
3. Navigate to System Administration Tool > Import Data.
4. Open the Entity Type dropdown.
5. Observe that Item/Course is not available in the list.

This is a System design, the Import Data tool does not support deactivating Items/Courses, bulk inactivation is supported only via the Item Connector.

Therefore, the Item/Course entity type does not appear in the Import Data tool dropdown.

1. Use the Item Connector to perform bulk inactivation of Items/Courses instead of the Import Data tool.

3. Prepare the Item Connector input file with the required fields and inactivation action
4. Test the Item Connector run in a Stage/Preview tenant first to verify expected results.
