Symptom
When attempting to create a new Recurring Journal Entry Voucher with reference to an existing Recurring Journal Entry ID for Company ABC, the system displays the following error message:
“Company ABC not found for dd.mm.yyyy”
(ABC represents Company ID)
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to General Ledger Work center.
- Under Journal Entries, select Recurring Journal entry vouchers.
- Select All Recurring Journal entries
- Search for an existing Recurring Journal Entry ID.
- Click on New and select the option 'Recurring Journal entry voucher with reference'
- Enter the company as ABC. (ABC represents Company ID)
- The error occurs "Company ABC not found for dd.mm.yyyy"
Cause
- When using “Create with reference” for Recurring Journal Entry Voucher creation for company ABC, the system copies and loads all attributes from the existing Recurring Journal Entry Voucher for the company XYZ.
- When the Company is changed from XYZ to ABC, the template reference is still validated against Company XYZ. This validation fails due to the mismatch, resulting in the error message "Company ABC not found for dd.mm.yyyy".
(ABC and XYZ represents Company ID)
Resolution
- The companies XYZ and ABC are assigned to different Charts of Accounts.
- An Recurring Journal Entry Vouchers (RJEVs) created for one company cannot be reused or referenced for another company that operates with a different Chart of Accounts.
- Therefore, to meet the requirement for Company ABC, a new Recurring Journal Entry Vouchers (RJEVs) must be created without using any reference.
(ABC and XYZ represents Company ID)
