An authorization error occurs during the simulation step of fixed asset data migration in the Migrate Your Data app.

Error message: "You don't have authorization for company code <XXXX>, asset class <YYYYYYYY>."

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Restrictions in the assigned business roles prevent authorization during the simulation.

1. Open the “Maintain Business Roles” app.
2. Identify the business roles assigned to the user performing the Fixed Assets migration.
3. Ensure the required asset migration business catalogs are assigned to the role (SAP_FIN_BC_AA_MDAT_LDT_PC and SAP_FIN_BC_AA_MDAT_REG_PC).
4. In each relevant business role, open the Restrictions section and review authorizations for company code and asset class.
5. Adjust the restrictions to Unrestricted or include the specific values (target company code and asset class) as needed for Read, Write, and Value Help.
6. Save the changes and re-run the simulation in the Migrate Your Data app to confirm the issue is resolved.
