3744994 - Keyboard copy/paste (ctrl+c/ctrl+v) does not deep copy in table - SAC

Symptom

When copying from one persisted model measure to another persisted model measure using keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+c/ctrl+v), the table does not perform a deep copy; only some rows are pasted while others remain at 0. Using right‑click copy and right‑click paste copies all data as expected.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open a story that uses the new table type connected to a persisted planning model.
  2. In the table, enter values in a persisted measure column (for example, on a totals row).
  3. Select the populated cell(s) and press Ctrl+C to copy.
  4. Select a target cell in another persisted measure column and press Ctrl+V to paste.
  5. Observe that only some rows are pasted; other rows remain 0.
  6. Repeat the operation using right‑click Copy and right‑click Paste.
  7. Observe that all data is pasted successfully.

Cause

Chrome browser clipboard access for the site was blocked (the site was listed under “Not allowed to see your clipboard”), preventing full clipboard access when using keyboard shortcuts in the new table type.

Resolution

  1. In Google Chrome, open Settings.
  2. Navigate to Privacy and security > Site settings > Clipboard.
  3. Under “Not allowed to see your clipboard” remove your SAC site entry.
