3744996 - Windows Task Scheduler “run whether user is logged on or not” causes VBS repository script to hang - SAP PD

• A task initiated by Windows Task Scheduler launches PowerDesigner to run a VBS script but the process becomes unresponsive and the script never completes.
• The PowerDesigner process is visible in Task Manager, but no further actions occur.
• The issue occurs only when the task is set to “Run whether user is logged on or not”.
• The task works when run manually or when set to “Run only when user is logged on”.
• Scheduler history shows return code 2147942401 (0x80070001) “Incorrect function”.
• Debug logs show “ERROR: Connection failed” when opening the repository connection via script under the non-interactive task.
