3745126 - E-mail Notifications Received In English Instead Of The User’s Local Language

The e-mail notifications the employees receive are in English language. The customer wants to set it up in the local language of the end user.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. A user receives a system e-mail notification.
2. The notification text appears in English instead of the user’s local language.

Master data settings for correspondence are not aligned with the users’ preferred language.

1. Verify the user’s correspondence language:
2. Open the Manage Workforce app.
3. Locate the user and choose Edit.
4. In the Personal Information (or equivalent) section, set “Correspondence Language” to the desired local language.
5. Save the changes and retest notification receipt.
6. For workflow notifications: confirm that the approver’s correspondence language is correctly maintained so that workflow e-mails are sent in the preferred language.
7. For output management notifications: verify the business partner master data has the correct correspondence language so partner-facing notifications use the intended language.
8. For situation handling notifications: review the relevant situation configuration to ensure language-dependent texts/templates are available and active.
9. If the issue persists, collect the exact notification scenario and provide a system access contact (CB user) to support for further analysis (refer to the KBA in See also).
10. If using Central Invoice Management and user-language e-mails are required, configure the Identity_Authentication_Connectivity_IDS destination in Identity Authentication Service as described in the help portal (refer to the link in See also), then retest.
