3745178 - SAP Datasphere - error 'unableToVerifyProductShareStatus' when deleting a data product

Symptom

  • Deleting a data product from the data provider profile in the Data Sharing Cockpit fails.
  • Error message: "Unable to verify if you can delete the product. Please try again later."
  • Error code: unableToVerifyProductShareStatus
  • Correlation ID: 6c4d9f88-b9b4-4748-408f-75f0b6584d1d

Environment

  • SAP Datasphere

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the affected data product in the Data Sharing Cockpit under the data provider profile.
  2. Attempt to delete the data product using the delete action.

Resolution

A fix for this issue was created and it will be available to you via SAP Datasphere Wave 2026.10. Please see SAP Note 2984828 - SAP Datasphere Release & Delivery Schedule regarding the planned availability of the fix.
As global deployment usually takes 24 hours, you may plan to test the fix one day later. 

If you still face issues, please contact SAP Support and provide the following:

  1. Generate a provider activation key for the affected data provider, see: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_DATASPHERE/e4059f908d16406492956e5dbcf142dc/3e0839b26c284b5bbe398829592eb57f.html
  2. Share the provider activation key with SAP Support so the provider profile can be re-associated with its formation system identifier.
  3. After the provider profile has been corrected, retry deleting the data product from the Data Sharing Cockpit.
