3745196 - Alerts in Customer Hub not correctly updated in test environment

Symptom

Alerts are not visible on the relevant business object in the agent desktop until after some update is made.

Environment

  • Sales and Service Cloud v2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the agent desktop.
  2. Accept some business object that meets the alerts rule condition.
  3. No alert is visible.
  4. Update the object with some dummy update.
  5. Re-open the object in agent desktop.
  6. Alert is now visible.

Resolution

This is the expected behaviour if the test evaluation criteria was not set.

Earlier we used to run the one time activation for all the data records in the test tenants also which is also like a production environment but now we have the test evaluation criteria restriction in test environments. So if a newly created alert is created in this won't run without selecting the test evaluation criteria or updating the affected objects.

On newly created objects this will also work fine. In production however this will update all records without the need for an update.
