3745411 - [Best Practice] How to capture the OData query when trying to acquire data from CAP OData Service exposed in SAP HANA Cloud into SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)
  • SAP HANA Cloud

Resolution

  1. Try to  reproduce the issue by either creating a new model or refreshing import job in existing model based on import connection to OData exposed from SAP HANA Cloud.
  2. Log on to BTP Cockpit using your BTP Global Account.
  3. Go to <Subaccount>/<Space>/<OData Application>, where the OData Service is deployed as one application.
  4. Click Logs menu.
    • You could find OData call in Message column (you can also download it where same information could be observed).
      • Format: <Time with time zone> ... OUT <OData Service Host> ... "GET <OData call>  HTTP/1.1" <HTTP Status Code> ... "SAP-DA-Client" ...
      • 'SAP-DA-Client' means the OData request from SAC.
    • Then, you can test the OData call on the browsers or other OData clients, like PostMan, Bruno.

If same issue could be observed when testing the OData call directly out side of SAC, please submit one support case to BC-XS-CDX-NJS / BC-XS-CDX-JAV.
